Tour description
€87 per person

Enjoy the search for the Northern lights on the quiet and peaceful Videy island, only a 20 minute boat ride from the city lights, making it a great location to enjoy the Aurora Borealis.

The trip departs from the old harbor of Reykjavik to Videy island, that has been uninhibited since the 1950’s and therefore a large part of the island is unlit. Videy island is as dark and quiet as can be expected, with just the sound of resting birds, making it an ideal location to enjoy the Northern lights.

The island is also home to Yoko Ono’s Imagine Peace Tower, an outdoor work of art that was built in memory of her husband John Lennon. The tower can also be viewed from the 360° panoramic viewing platform, alongside great views of Reykjavik, the island and surrounding mountain ranges. This tour is therefore a great way to explore the Northern Lights, away from the city’s light pollution, giving better visibility for the Auroras Borealis.
