If you are looking for central Reykjavik tourist attractions then the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour is a great choice. It  takes you to the main attractions around the city at your own pace and leisure. There are 15 bus stops in the winter and 16 stops in the summer and buses run every 45 minutes from 9:45am until 16:15pm. Last arrival is at 17:30pm at Harpa Concert Hall.

Stop 10: BSÍ Bus Terminal – A large bus terminal with many bus connections and airport transfers.

Stop 11: Perlan Dome – Viewpoint over the city and home of the Wonders of Iceland Exhibition.

Stop 12: Kringlan Shopping Mall –  The largest shopping mall in Reykjavik with over 180 shops.

Stop 13: Hilton Nordica Reykjavik – Located near a few large hotels and near Laugardalur Valley.

Stop 14: Laugardalur Valley – Nice park for walks and it also has a great swimming pool and spa.

Stop 15: Skarfabakki Harbour (Summer stop only) – offers ferry rides to Videy island.

Stop 16: Höfði House – Where Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbatsjev had a famous meeting in 1986.

Good to know

  • Departures are every 45 minutes from Harpa Concert Hall.
  • The bus ticket is valid for 24-hours.
  • Please note that the hop on hop off bus does not run on Icelandic Independence day (17/6), Reykjavik Pride (12/8) and Reykjavik Marathon (19/8).
  • Most of our buses are wheelchair accessible. All of our wheelchair spaces accommodate wheelchairs measuring up to 70 cm wide, 120 cm long, and 135 cm high. If your wheelchair is larger than this or you are unsure whether your wheelchair will fit on the bus, please contact us.
  • Our buses cannot safely accommodate two or more occupied wheelchairs, so if there is already a wheelchair user on the bus that you want to board, unfortunately you’ll need to wait for the next bus. Please ask the driver for assistance if necessary.
