Have you ever ridden in a Super Jeep as it roars off road towards adventure? On this tour you’ll be ferried east from the Mývatnssveit area to visit three amazing waterfalls in the countryside nearby.
Dettifoss waterfall, which is the most powerful waterfall in Europe. Towering at around 45m tall and 100m wide, the thundering water is something you’ve just got to experience with your own eyes. We’ll approach Dettifoss waterfall from the east as that’s where the best view is, the east bank is only accessible via Super Jeep.
From there it’s a short few minutes walk to Selfoss Waterfall where the water smoothly down the black basalt columns. Selfoss Waterfall is a serene and calm experience compared to the true force of nature that Dettifoss is.
To round it off we’ll finish by visiting Jökulsá canyon, where Hafragilsfoss is located. This stunning 120m waterfall is a spectacular sight to behold, the thundering water contrasts beautifully with the rough volcanic landscape that surrounds it. This sight is an essential visit on your trip to Iceland.
