Warm Baths & Cool Lights Adventure

1. Nov - 15. Mar Daily About 7 hours Your hotel / guesthouse in Reykjavik Very easy

On this tour we’ll whisk you away from the bright Reykjavik lights and go straight to soak away the stress in the wonderful the geothermal baths at Laugarvatn Fontana before embarking on a hunt to see the magical Northern Lights.

We’ll start off with a dip at the Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal spa, where you’ll experience of the healing powers of the geothermal springs and can take in the panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Feel your stress melt away as you soak in a natural pool, enjoy the traditional sauna, and listen to the bubbling hot spring in the steam rooms.

For the brave adventurers, there’s also the option to take a dip in lake Laugarvatn (when accessible) to cool down between the steam baths and sauna. Cold bathing is believed to have beneficial health effects, such as improving blood circulation, speeding up muscle soreness and recovery. It has also been shown to be beneficial for those suffering from arthritis and other joint illnesses.

Once we’re done relaxing, our hunt for the Aurora begins. Our expert guide and driver will take you to a viewing spot with most likely visibility, this location can change day to day as conditions change. Along the way our experienced guides will tell you all about this natural phenomenon. Once we’ve found our location all we have to do is wait for the show to start. Good luck!
