This combo tour is perfect for those who seek adventure!
Combine both a snorkelling in Silfra and caving in Leiðarendi lava cave.
First, you’ll experience the colorful world hidden below Iceland’s surface and enjoy floating weightlessly in the crystal clear water of Silfra Fissure, located at Thingvellir National Park.
On the tour, participants will be guided through the four parts of Silfra fissure, The Big Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral and Silfra Lagoon, all whilst floating between the Eurasian and American continental plates.
Silfra is filled with glacial water that has been trickling through underground lava for approximately 30 years and the water is therefore very clear, resulting in an exceptional visibility of around 100 meters.
Once we’ve gotten warm and dry, we’ll head to the next half of the tour, lava caving.
The cave we’ll visit is called Leiðarendi. The 900 meter long lava tube offers unique rock formations, such as stalactites and shelves.
