Enjoy a fun filled day of sightseeing and whale watching, where you can see the amazing whales that live in Faxafloi Bay and the breathtaking sights of Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir geothermal area.

The day starts with a 3-hour whale watching tour with Elding, where you can learn plenty about the whales that live around the shores of Iceland, see Reykjavik city from a different perspective and enjoy a guided tour of the marine life. The tour operators work closely together with the passengers and other boats in the area to scan the waters, resulting in sightings of whales and/or dolphins on over 90% of the tours.

After exploring the wonders of the whales and seabirds Faxaflói offers you’ll return to the harbour around 3 hrs. later. At 12:30/17:30 you’ll be picked up by the Gray Line shuttle bus in front of our ticket office in time for the Golden Circle Express tour.

You’ll visit some of the very best known historical sites and natural phenomena in the country; Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO certified world heritage site. Gullfoss one of Icelands most iconic waterfalls, Geysir, the ever-spouting geyser located in an active geo-thermal area, as well as the hot spring hot-spot: Hveragerði.

Good to know

Pick up from hotels/guesthouses starts up to 45 minutes before scheduled departure.

Please note that there are no meals included in this tour, so it is advisable to bring your own lunch if possible. You can also purchase light refreshments during the whale watching tour and a full meal during the Golden Circle tour.

The weather in Iceland can be unpredictable so please wear warm and waterproof clothing and sturdy walking boots.
