Grand Golden Circle Tour

All year Daily About 8 hours Reykjavík with pick up included Easy Min 2 years old

Join us for an unforgettable adventure! The Golden Circle is sometimes called ‘The Big Three’, and consists of Geysir, Gullfoss and Þingvellir, which are a famous geyser, gigantic waterfall and a beautiful National Park.

First we’ll visit the Kerið volcanic crater, which was formed in an eruption over 3,000 years ago. Some believe that it was formed in a vast explosion. The more likely theory is that the volcanic cone collapsed into its own magma chamber after the eruption finished.

Kerið is the perfect place to learn more about Icelandic geological history and observe a mind-blowing natural wonder. Afterwards, you’ll stop and view the magnificent Gullfoss glacial waterfalls, which is stands at over 100 feet tall.

Next up is the geothermal hot-spot known as Geysir, with its numerous gushing hot springs and geysers, the Strokkur geyser erupts ever five minutes and can reach heights of up to 130 feet!

To top it off the tour first stops at Þingvellir National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, of historical importance, where Icelandic parliament was founded in 930, making it the longest running parliament in the world.
