Join us for a gentle horseback ride on the beautiful black sand beach in scenic Vík, South Iceland.

This 1 hour tour is open to anyone, from experienced riders to newbies. Don’t worry, our international team of knowledgeable guides will instruct you on everything you need to know to have a safe and enjoyable ride in picturesque surroundings.

This scenic ride in the beautiful environment of Vík village and surroundings includes crossing a little stream, a ride along the volcanic black sand beach and of course a relaxing time with our wonderful Icelandic Horses.

This is the perfect activity for those who want to get acquainted with the unique Icelandic horses, which are renowned for their hardiness, small stature and unique gait.

Good to know

Please note that the weight limit for this tour is 110 kg (242 lbs). This is for the welfare of our horses.
Please remember to wear water- and windproof clothing (including sturdy shoes) that will keep you warm and dry.
Our horseback riding tours are completely suitable for people who have never gone horseback riding before. However, we do not recommend horseback riding if you have problem with your hips, knees, or your back. Also, the riders have to be able to hold the reins and to follow the guides’ instructions at all times. Riding during pregnancy is very risky and we reserve the right to exclude riders from our tours in case of pregnancy or severe physical impairment.
