Whale Watching Ólafsvík

1. Apr. - 15. Sept. Daily About 2-3 Hours Ólafsvík, West Iceland Very easy

If you’ve always wanted to spot sperm whales or orcas, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula coastline would be your best bet. Late winter, spring and early summer are when they’re most active. Along with orcas and sperm whales, other species like Minke, humpback, and pilot whales are also spotted, usually later in the summer and autumn.

Join our whale watching Snaefellsnes tour (departing from Olafsvik) and experience these extraordinary creatures in their natural habitat with your own eyes.

We believe in sustainable whale watching, where the whales are disturbed as little as possible. We strictly adhere to the regulations for responsible whale watching and only work with very experienced captains and guides. We are also committed to the protection of whales and work closely with the non-profit organisation Orca Guardians Iceland.

The scenery surrounding the glacier is magnificent  and even more so out at sea, as the majestic Snæfellsjökull Glacier can be seen from miles away.

In the event that you no don’t spot any whales or dolphins, passengers can re-book another trip on any other day during the season at no cost. Please check our terms and conditions for more details.
