The first part of this Golden Circle Tour takes you to see three of the most popular attractions in the South of Iceland, starting with a picturesque route to Thingvellir National Park. The park is known for being uniquely situated on the tectonic plate boundaries of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, as well as being the home to the worlds oldest parliament and a place of stunning natural beauty.
After visiting Thingvellir National Park, the journey continues towards the famous Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot spring area, where the powerful forces of Icelandic nature can be seen in action. Gullfoss Waterfall delivers an awe-inspiring sight, with vast amounts of water rushing down lava rock, whilst the Geysir hot spring area has erupting geysers, shooting water as high as 30 meters high.
