On this tour you will go on a safe and easy walk on crampons up onto the ice field of Eyjafjallajokull Glacier. There you will discover a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses, and learn about the glacier and the effect of the Eyjafjallajokull Glacier eruption in 2010 on the glacier and its surroundings. On the way back there’s a stop at the picturesque waterfalls of Skogafoss Waterfall and Seljalandsfoss Waterfall.
Pick up from hotels / guesthouses starts at 8:30am and can take up to 30 minutes.
Bring warm clothing, rain gear, hiking boots and lunch. Boots and rain gear can be rented at the site for a small fee.
The walk on the ice takes about 2,5 hours.
