South Coast and ATV

All year Daily About 9-10 hours Your hotel / Guesthouse in Reykjavík Easy Min 8 years old

ATV/Quad biking is a great way to explore the raw black sandy beaches on the south coast. After picking you up in Reykjavik we head to the main base where we gear up and get to know the ATV’s/Quad’s.

After we have gone through the safety instructions we start the drive, trough small rivers and streams, to the sandy beach which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. After a fun ride on the black beach we stop at a plane wreck to adore the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the big black coast all the way to Dyrhólaey, the southern most part of Iceland. When we have synced in these beautiful sights we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of Mt. Heiðarhorn. Along the mountains we head back to the base.

On the way back you will visit the magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss.
