This Golden Circle and Snorkeling Tour adds a fun twist to traditional sightseeing. It combines visiting Gullfoss Waterfall and erupting geysers, with snorkeling in Silfra Fissure, located at Thingvellir National Park.

The first stop of the Golden Circle is at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thingvellir is one of Iceland’s most historically significant sites, as the country’s first parliament was founded there in the year 930 AD.

Silfra is a crack in the earth between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Snorkeling in Silfra Fissure is a once in a lifetime experience, as it is one of Iceland’s most desirable snorkeling spots and is frequently rated as one of the worlds top ten diving sites. Its narrow channel of blue water running through a lava field. It offers an unforgettable diving experience, with up to 100 meters of visibility it is among the clearest bodies of water on our planet.

On the snorkeling tour we will dress you in a dry suit and guide you through the four parts of the Silfra fissure. Floating through Silfra’s crystal clear water is an otherworldly experience; the near-freezing water, astonishing colors, and sensations of flying provide a very unique environment for liquid meditation that you will never forget.

From Thingvellir the excursion heads towards the world-renowned Geysir Hot Spring, in Haukadalur Geothermal Area. In the Geysir area, geysers can be seen bursting as high as 25 meters in the air.
