This beautiful day trip to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula takes you on a journey to breathtaking Snaefellsjokull Volcano Glacier. There you will visit the national park in all its beauty and go halfway up the glacier.

Stopping on the way to Snaefellsjokull at small towns and fishing villages. Looking at intriguing bird cliffs by Dritvik and visiting the fishing hamlets at Arnarstapi and Hellnar.

On your way back you will stop at a church-shaped mountain Kirkjufell and during the summer at Djúpalónssandur beach.

On clear days Snaefellsjokull can be seen from Reykjavik, a distance of 120 km. The volcano on the glacier was made famous in Jules Verne´s novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth”.
