The Lava Cave Exploring & Snorkeling in Silfra day tour is a great way to explore what lays underneath this amazing country of fire & ice. The tour takes place in Thingvellir National Park, where visitors can explore an underground lava cave and snorkel in Silfra, one of Iceland’s best snorkeling spot.

The adventure starts with lava caving in Þingvellir National Park, an impressive valley situated in the tectonic rift between America and Europe. On this trip, one of Iceland’s incredible lava caves will be explored, alongside the marvels that have been created by volcanic activity in the past. The cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube and is situated in one of the most active volcano areas in the world.

The second part of this trip includes snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure, situated between the two Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. This exhibits a magical scene, famously known for its heavenly shades of blue and exceptional visibility. The crystal clear water offers a feeling of pure weightlessness when venturing down the lazy current, resulting in a relaxing yet an exotic snorkeling adventure.
