Experience two legends of Iceland in one tour, by riding an even-tempered Icelandic horse like the Vikings did, and walking in the labyrinth of the Solheimajokull Glacier within the same day.

The day starts with a two hour long horse riding tour in the Icelandic nature. In the spirit of  the true Icelandic Vikings, enjoying the company of the friendly and well tempered Icelandic horse. Whilst the exact location will be decided on the day and determined by weather conditions and participants’ riding experience, the rugged and dramatic nature of Iceland offers the ideal setting for an unforgettable horse riding experiene.

After the riding tour, newly baked bread and the soup of the day will provide some energy before starting the glacier adventure, venturing past Eyjafjallajokull Volcano and towards Myrdalsjökull Glacier, one of Iceland’s largest glaciers. Upon arrival on the Solheimajokull Glacier Tongue, equipped with crampons and ice axes, the group will set off on a glacier walk to discover a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevices that together create a truly wonderful and magical experience.

Please note that pick up from hotels / guesthouses starts up to 30 minutes before scheduled departure time.

This tour has a minimum age requirement of 10 years old.

The weather in Iceland can be unpredictable, so it is recommended to bring warm and waterproof clothing, and sturdy hiking boots.

If you do not have hiking boots and waterproof clothing, these can be rented for a small fee.

The horse ride is tour is approximately 1.5 – 2 hour long  and the total duration is about 12 hours.
