This Horseback Riding & Whale Watching tour is perfect for those that are looking for a truly unique Icelandic experience. This combination of whale watching and horseback riding, presents the magnificent and most loved animals of Iceland, both on land and sea. The tour begins with the whale watching part at the old harbor in Reykjavik, just minutes away from the city center.

The whale watching tour is operated by Special Tours and their boats offer great comfort and a large outside viewing decks. The guides, along with the captain and crew, point out where to spot the whales and give interesting information about the different kinds of whales and seabirds you can expect to see.

After the whale watching you´ll have some time for a quick lunch before being picked up at the Special Tours dock at 13:00 for an afternoon of horseback riding at Laxnes Farm, located in the historical Mosfellsdalur Valley, only 15 minutes from Reykjavik.

The horse farm is a friendly family business, that proudly treats the horses as a part of the family, thus offering an enjoyable way to experience horseback riding in Iceland. The Icelandic horse is friendly and alert in nature, and is a pleasure to ride in the beautiful surroundings of the farm. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before scheduled departure time with Special Tours at the old harbor in Reykjavik. Also please be ready at 13:00 for pick up at same place for the horseback riding tour.

As it can be cold at sea and the weather in Iceland can be unpredictable, we recommend dressing in warm and waterproof clothing, such as warm undergarment clothing, hats, gloves and warm socks.
