Visit the world famous erupting geysers & hot springs, experience the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall and see the stunning natural beauty at Thingvellir National park in this Golden Circle tour.

The tour starts with a stop at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of the oldest existing parliament in the world. Thingvellir is also where the gigantic tectonic plates of America and Eurasia have separated and pulled a part, and as a result they have created a visible rift through the valley.

After visiting Thingvellir National Park, you will drive towards Geysir Hot Spring area, the home of the true original geyser and one of Iceland’s most iconic natural attraction. This is where Strokkur Geyser can be seen in action, spouting hot water into the air every few minutes. From Geysir Hot Spring area, the trip continues to the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, where a powerful glacial river rushes down 32 meters and into a narrow canyon.

Before heading back to Reykjavik, you will have an opportunity to see the volcanic crater, Kerid. This was formed when a large magma chamber collapsed and offers a wonderful sight of piercing blue water surrounded by red lava rocks. The crater gives a wonderful insight into the unique contrasting and dramatic Icelandic nature and is a fantastic way to end this magnificent Golden Circle Tour.
