The Diving Silfra & Lava Caving Tour offers the unique opportunity of diving in one of the worlds top dive sites, as well as taking part in a caving adventure in one of Iceland’s lava tube caves.

Silfra Fissure is located in lake Thingvallavatn, and is situated between the North American continental plate and the Eurasian continental plate. Its crystal clear water, filtered over decades by volcanic basaltic rock, makes for a unique experience and consequently it is considered by many prominent dive publications, to be among the top dive sites in the world.

After the diving tour, the trip continues with a guided hike through one of the Icelandic lava tube caves, created thousands of years ago. Depending on the time of year and the weather, the caving tour will be offered either at Gjabakkahellir cave in Thingvellir or Leiðarendi cave, closer to Reykjavik. Both of these caves display the typical features of lava tubes, such as unique rock formations and a variety of colors, offering a fantastic finish to the day.
