The tour is built around many of the greatest activity tours while highlighting all of the must see’s that South-Iceland has to offer. This tour also incorporates spare time for guests to explore and experience Reykjavik city on their own. From sea kayaking in deep Nordic fjords to riding the Viking Horse to bathing in a natural hot spring river, this trip of various activities is sure to leave guests with a great long lasting impression of Iceland.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Sea Kayaking and Whale Watching

The tour starts with a Sea Kayaking adventure on the spectacular Hvalfjordur Fjord or the Thingvellir Lake (depending on weather). The kayaking is a stoic and relaxing trip in guided by certified BCU 4star guides, expertly trained for Icelandic conditions. In the afternoon, we continue our exploration of the open sea with a Whale Watching excursion from Reykjavik downtown harbour.

Day 2 – Snorkeling and Caving

On day two we explore the hidden world of the lava field between Thingvellir and Laugarvatn on a guided lava cave tour. Walking into the cave, discovering the marvels that the volcanic activity has created. The second adventure of the day is a surreal and breathtaking snorkeling tour in the Silfra ravine in the heart of Thingvellir National Park. The Silfra is located on the boundary between America and Europe and offers crystal clear underwater views of the lava fissure. Silfra is one of the top ten dive sites in the world and it’s even better for snorkeling.

Day 3 – Hot Springs and Horses

We start with a hike to the amazing hot spring area of Reykjadalur Valley where we take a relaxing bath in a hot river… a fairly easy but rewarding trek into mountains filled with hot springs of every shape and size. After our hiking tour, we will go to the Eldhestar Horse Farm and have lunch, followed by a horse riding tour around the farm. A great chance to experience the unique Icelandic Viking horse with its five gaits and wonderful character.

Day 4 – Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik

This is a day to relax and rest up for your last adventure day! Shopping and explore Reykjavik and end the day with a visit to the world famous Blue Lagoon.

Day 5 – Golden Circle and Rafting

On our last morning, we head out for an amazing excursion of to the Golden Circle starting with a river rafting tour down the beautiful and exciting Hvítá River. Afterwards, you can relax in the hot tubs or sauna and we dine at Drumbo base camp before heading for the Geysir Hot Spring area, the Gullfoss Waterfall and Thingvellir National Park.

Good to know

Pick up from hotels / guesthouses starts up to 30 minutes before scheduled departure time.

Please bring warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, head wear, gloves, warm undergarment (fleece/wool sweater and pants), warm socks, bathing suit, a towel and a change of clothing. Good hiking shoes are recommended!
